The Day Program was developed to assist consumers that did not work or still lived with family to have a place to go during the weekdays and be among friends, learn skills to help them move forward and to have the opportunity to go out into the community. It is open to people in the ILP of “Just” People, people who live in group homes with other programs and people who still live with family.
The Service Agreement is designed to meet the needs of the consumer. You do not have to attend everyday. The team help the consumer determine what they want and need. One day, two day, three day or four day and your fees are based on the number of days you attend.
The Day Support Program is located in Norcross Georgia and is attached to the “Just” People Administration Office. The Day Program runs Tuesday thru Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Lunch can be brought or purchased daily.
Transportation to the day program can be provided for a fee within a 5 mile radius; otherwise consumers are dropped off and picked up.
Tuesday and Thursday are community integrated activities: Parks, Malls, Concerts, Movies, Bowling, Museums, Parties, etc. These activities are chosen by the Day Group Participates at their monthly group meeting.
Wednesday and Friday are skills classes: Cooking, Arts & Crafts, Job Skills, Hygiene, Small Group Sessions, Reading & Writing Skills, Exercise, Health & Safety, Pot Luck Lunches, etc.
